We recently added a new member to our growing collective, Career Counselor & Coach, Sophee Payne and she has some great Tips for Living Your Best Life to share!
Sophee is a Coach that will take you from not even knowing where you want to go to the career of your dreams.
She is certified in career development coaching with Holistic Coaching Academy, and in life coaching with the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology where she also focused on career development coaching. She specializes in helping people find direction in their careers and carry out what it takes to get there.
Sophee is passionate about her purpose: to help other’s find theirs. She knows her clients have the possibility to love their work, impact the world, and still make money for the lifestyle they want.
One of Sophee’s favorite quotes encapsulates this well, “Working hard for something we don’t care about is called stress: Working hard for something we love is called passion.” – Simon Sinek
I believe you are the expert in your own life and no one knows your life better than you. The trouble comes from not being able to connect to yourself anymore. This could be because of many different reasons, such as childhood and young adult experiences, a life that is currently too chaotic, or an illness that you are recovering from. Coaching helps you re-connect to you, your wisdom, and take action to create the life you really want.
Many people have wisdom that is not being accessed due to limiting beliefs and recurring blocks, many of which took years to build and started in childhood. Some of the limiting beliefs may even have served the person, but not anymore. I believe knowing what to do is simple, but not easy. You can eventually know what to do but find it hard to follow through, and that’s where I hold up a mirror and provide accountability and perspective to keep you on track to your goals.
This isn’t always easy, and to be completely honest, it takes a lot of courage and honesty to be coached. My mantra is, “It’s not your fault, but it is your responsibility.” That is to say, it’s not your fault for what has happened to you; but if it affects you, it is your responsibility to address it and take action. There is no better person to change your life than you.
